About Gobble Up!

Gobble Up! is an eat-and-grow arcade game. You play a shaggy black yeti who swallows anything small enough for his mouth, from apples and coffee cups up to a fruit stall, a cake and a boat, and he grows with every bite. Each of the five levels has its own place and its own rule. In the market you eat your way through the stalls to the fruit stall. At the picnic things run away, and the ice-cream cart has to be cut off. In the sweet factory pedals start the belts that bring the food. On the beach you eat at low tide and run back before the wave. In the night toy room lamps light up as you walk up to them, and somewhere in the dark is the rocket. Levels open one after another.

How to play

On a computer, hold the mouse button and lead the yeti: he walks after the cursor. A press elsewhere on the field calls him over. You can also play with the arrow keys or WASD. The view moves when the yeti nears the edge of the screen. A hint at the start of each level tells you what to do.

Playing on a phone

Put a finger anywhere on the field and slide it: a joystick appears under your finger and the yeti walks that way. Lift the finger and he stops. The game works with the phone held upright.

Tip for your first round

Start with the smallest things next to you. When the game says “Grow some more”, that object is still too big: eat something smaller and come back. The bar shows how much is left to the next size.
