About Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace is a falling-block puzzle set in an underwater palace. Rotate the sea-glass pieces and complete rows to clear them. There are six tides, each with its own goal: clear 8 lines, then 10, clear a hall full of rubble, dig out three buried pearls, hold back rows rising from below and finally weather the storm. Halfway to each goal the water speeds up. Every win opens the palace shell to reveal its pearl, and on a computer the palace itself changes for good: halls and towers light up and golden fish arrive.

How to play

Use the left and right arrow keys to move a piece. Press the up arrow or X to rotate and Z to rotate back. The down arrow speeds up the fall, Space drops the piece at once, C puts it on hold and Esc pauses the game. A key hint appears on the board at the start of the first tide.

Playing on a phone

Drag left or right on the board to move a piece. Tap briefly to rotate it, flick down to drop it and pull down slowly to lower it row by row. Tap the Hold panel to hold a piece. A short lesson shows these gestures the first time you play. The full-screen button above the game gives you a larger board.

Tip for your first round

Watch the landing outline and the three upcoming pieces in the Next panel. Clearing lines with consecutive pieces builds a chain worth up to ×5. On the tides with a large pile of rubble, every line also breaks the top row of the pile, so you do not have to fill each gap exactly.
